For more than 30 years, American Legion Auxiliary members have made their presence known in our nation’s capital. Joining fellow members of The American Legion Family, we learn about our veterans' needs and the legislative priorities of The American Legion, then we visit Capitol Hill to encourage our country’s lawmakers to pass legislation that protects veterans’ rights and provides for their needs. By attending the Washington DC Conference, we learn how to be better advocates for those we serve.
During this event, we also present the Auxiliary's Public Spirit Award honoring an outstanding individual or organization that positively impacts communities through service to our military, veterans, and their families.
During the year, we provide American Legion Auxiliary members with several opportunities to convene and converse with other members from across the country.
